Old skate slide of me from 1979 scanned by the new Lomo Smartphone Film Scanner Got this  really bitchin’ new toy – it’s a  Lomography  smart phone film scanner.  So rad because you can take your old film or slides and scan them right onto your iphone (any smartphone will work) . So awesome!!  I have a bunch of old skate slides hanging around so we are testing it out. But I am finding that it’s best/easiest if you have negative strips rather than slides – otherwise you have to cut the slide open, remove the film and then scan it – which is difficult and time consuming. But the finished result is pretty damn good!! Get one for $59.00   HERE

via they all hate us, fashion toast, the blonde salad Maybe it’s because this weekend was so gorgeous here at the beach, or maybe its due to the fact that I have been doing a lot of shoots lately where the look involves shorts, or maybe the Coachella coverage has gotten to me. But I am currently obsessed with any type of shorts.  How about you?

Yep, its another weekend of Coachella so I thought I’d post some of last weekends photos for inspiration, as seen through the eyes of  Vogue .  Somehow everything/everyone just looks better in the VIP area… Funny how that works. I’m off to style a shoot in sunny, beautiful Santa Barbara for the next few days so follow me on instagram if you want a little “behind the scenes” peek at what we are up to.

I’m all about grungy plaid right now. Maybe it’s because I just did a shoot where I remembered how much I love it when styling a rock & roll/grunge/skateboard look. In any event, I’m digging out all the pieces I have in my closet and wearing them every way I can. Sorry for being MIA this past week. I got booked on this huge commercial, which was tons of fun and is gong to be RAD – and I should be able to show it to you very soon! So the last 7 days were filled with doing some really cool surf x skate x Coachella  style pulls (kind of like the inspiration pix above) , a crazy fitting for 18 models that took 12 hours, and a shoot day that went from dawn to dusk  in Venice and at a famous skate spot – these are the type of days I live for. Tons of work and I am exhausted, but the end result is what keeps me going, and I know you are going to love it as much as I do!  xx
