I’m having a little boho moment this week…  I encourage you to stay with me and just go with it.

    My styling team is off to a shoot in Atlanta for the next week,, but you can keep up with all our styling and travel adventures by following along on my Instagram . And for the record,  we like to have fun when we are on the road – so the behind the scenes photos & videos are it’s always entertaining to say the least.  I’m proud to say that my assistants are a bit crazy because it always keeps the day interesting! all images via The Versastyle Sometimes you meet the coolest people when you least expect it… I was looking for blogs one day  that were not the “cookie cutter” fashion blogs I kept seeing everywhere – you know the ones – where the girls are wearing the exact same thing from blog to blog, and usually look like they are “trying too hard”. Ugh.  I luckily stumbled  across Annette from  The Versastyle  late one night, and I was hooked. Her sport x fashion posts that usually feature her wearing something rad that’s black or white, plus some insanely cool heels, inspired me. Little did I know that we’d start connecting via the internet and that 2 years down the road I’d eventually find myself at Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles talking and laughing about everything under the sun with this rad style maven. If you haven’t guessed it already, Annette is my kind of badass girl from head to toe. In fact the quote on her instagram says everything you need to know about her in one sentence:

  I apologize for the lack of posts this past week but I have been on a mini hiatus from the blog as some other cool stuff has been happening that I can now share with you guys. I’m going to be speaking at TEDx Youth on November 16 in Santa Monica and I couldn’t be more excited! They expect about 500 people at this TEDx talk and I will be 1 of 5 speakers.   If you can’t be there you can always watch it via live stream & it will also be archived on the TEDx website a few days after the event.  Oh yeah, what will I be speaking about?  Girl Power of course! I hope you will join me, either in person, or via live stream to hear all the speakers and see what they have to say. I know it’s going to be a very interesting evening!
