Fashion Meets Skate. For Reals.

Image
Repost from Eva Chen’s Instagram   So stoked to have the raddest fashionista around, Eva Chen ,  Editor in Chief of Lucky Magazine trying out the Girl is NOT a 4 Letter Word board  . Eva mentioned she wanted to learn to skate, so let’s hope she throws on a pair of Vans (or perhaps Celine slip ons) and takes her new skateboard to the streets of NYC (and posts some rad pics!).  In the meantime I hear that Conde Nast has some pretty nice hallways to skate… Love the shout out she also gave to the non profit we are tied into –  Girl Riders Organization – if you don’t know GRO , please check them out. They do amazing things for women in skateboarding.

Endless Summer

Photos: Jeff Berting Had a great time styling this surf/skate editorial for South Bay Magazine . Two sports that are close to my heart – couldn’t have asked for a more fun day putting together surf & skate inspired looks for each shot. EA Sports / Landon Donovan "Always in the Game"

Many thanks to EA Sports for having me style this new “Always in the Game” commercial with Landon Donovan. Such a great spot – how often do you see Landon dancing  in a bathrobe?  He’s funny as hell and doesn’t have any problem having a little fun with the whole World Cup situation. Classy, awesome athlete. Thanks EA!

#BecauseFutbol Hyundai Ads

Photos: Craig Cameron Olsen This was probably the most creative and challenging shoot I have worked on this year. Photographer Craig Cameron Olsen was nice enough to bring me in on this amazing project for Hyundai where I got to create crazy & fun fan looks for various  countries for World Cup Futbol. Creating the look for Brasil was probably my most favorite – from  taking a normal black felt top hat and painting it Brasil’s country colors and then wrapping a boa around the brim and adding stick-on letters haphazardly  to spell Brasil on front, then layering pom pom necklaces that my team created & strung into different lengths, along with a crazy scarf and a spray painted wig and some green & yellow party beads. Hair & Make-up artist Veronica Sinclair , did an awesome job with the face painting & the entire look for each country  we worked on really came together to create a  series of  fun and exciting images. The campaign is called #BecauseFutbol and you c

Richard Sherman Madden NFL 15

video via NFL.com I had the awesome opportunity to work on the cover shoot of EA Sports Madden NFL 15 with photographer Tim Mantoani this past week. Pretty cool to see Richard Sherman at LA Live being told he was the winner, and then shooting with him just hours later. Here is a little glimpse from NFL.com into what happened at the shoot.
