It's Not About Pretty

Packing is hard – whoever said it wasn’t is a absolute liar. When I travel I like to try and keep with a “color story” if at all possible, as it makes it way easier to narrow down the shoe and accessory options. It also helps keep your suitcases in the “under 50 lb each” range, so you don’t get hit with that insane “over the weight limit” charge.  And believe me I have been there a few times in my life. It’s really not fun to be the crazy chick pulling shit out of one case and throwing it in another to get the weight to balance out before they will finally check your bags curbside at LAX…. I think the key is to try and pack with a color palette in mind so everything works well together. And the goal is to have it be a no brainer once you get to your destination. Things like a wrinkled dress (see above photo) shouldn’t ruin your evening,  just bring it into the bathroom with you when you take a steamy, hot shower a...
