People talk about making a difference but it’s the rare person who actually does something about it. Michael Brooke, publisher of the skateboarding magazine, Concrete Wave  headed off to Israel to do something I find pretty damn  cool. He hooked up with Surfing 4 Peace and the Peres Center for Peace to bring 30 longboards into a war torn country, do skate demos, and encourage Arab and Israel kids to skate together. One rad way to go about promoting World Peace if you ask me.

And btw – it looks like girls all over the world dig skateboarding – I’m loving these shots of the girls riding for the first time!   To find out more about Longboarding for Peace click Here

  I have to say, Agenda is my favorite trade show that I go to during the year. With it’s perfect mix of action sports x lifestyle it’s everything I love. I was great seeing brands like Art of Board (amazing what they are doing!), Ollo Clip (how sweet is that set up!?), Nixon, my old friend Jay Adams and Z-Flex, art work by the rad Craig Stecyk, and I have to share that everyone was talking about the black neoprene bikini by Tavik . Sexy! This year was even better than ever with the new WMN’s section of the show that was added. A lot of great brands that I know and love were grouped together for easy viewing and placing orders.  Nice to see younger companies like The Seea and Mint Clothing   at Agenda for their first time joining brands like Wildfox, Nasty Girl and more.. I always make time to go to Agenda to visit some of my existing clients, and also to see what’s new that might work for photo shoots or editorial pieces I have coming up in the next few months. Sometimes “work” is the same as pleasure in my book. Sending the day at the Agenda Trade Show was one of those days. Got to see a lot of old skater friends, friends in the fashion industry and people at various brands I am lucky enough to work with. Checked out some cool new stuff in the skate and surf industry and had a killer time at the Concrete Wave Magazine BBQ. Pretty much a rad Friday. Oh yeah and I got in a little surfing. lol Hope your weekend was awesome!

Wish You Were Here...

Wave check from my villa’s balcony in Sayulita, Mexico this week. Some weeks life is tough. Just rolled in from Sayulita, Mexico last night. Had a bitchin’ time and I have tons of cool stuff to post & share – from outfit posts, to beach & jungle locations to skateparks and rad boutiques. I tried to cover it all, which is hard when you are downing margaritas and eating amazing food all day, but hey, I somehow “managed”!
