An absolutely amazing day spent with old friends at the Vans Pool Party!  Nothing like seeing the boys you skated with back in the day battle it out in the masters division, kicking more ass than ever.  I’m thinking 40-50 is the new 20, because these guys were making it look easy.  In the masters, it was Chris Miller in 1st, Steve Caballaero in 2nd and Christian Hosoi in 3rd. The pro division rocked as well with Bucky Lasek coming in first, Pedro Barros 2nd and Rune Glifberg in 3rd.

Another great thing about this skate event is that it brings all of us together again – getting to hang with my fellow female pro skaters from the early days,  watching Steve Van Doren make hot dogs on the grill, getting silly in front of the camera, teasing our pro boys, and just having a blast. That’s what skateboarding has always been about and this event always has that feeling from start to finish.

Thank you to the awesome team at Vans for putting it on year after year, and welcoming all of us into their “house”.  We love you guys!!

  I have to say, Agenda is my favorite trade show that I go to during the year. With it’s perfect mix of action sports x lifestyle it’s everything I love. I was great seeing brands like Art of Board (amazing what they are doing!), Ollo Clip (how sweet is that set up!?), Nixon, my old friend Jay Adams and Z-Flex, art work by the rad Craig Stecyk, and I have to share that everyone was talking about the black neoprene bikini by Tavik . Sexy! This year was even better than ever with the new WMN’s section of the show that was added. A lot of great brands that I know and love were grouped together for easy viewing and placing orders.  Nice to see younger companies like The Seea and Mint Clothing   at Agenda for their first time joining brands like Wildfox, Nasty Girl and more.. I always make time to go to Agenda to visit some of my existing clients, and also to see what’s new that might work for photo shoots or editorial pieces I have coming up in the next few months. Sometimes “work” is the same as pleasure in my book. Sending the day at the Agenda Trade Show was one of those days. Got to see a lot of old skater friends, friends in the fashion industry and people at various brands I am lucky enough to work with. Checked out some cool new stuff in the skate and surf industry and had a killer time at the Concrete Wave Magazine BBQ. Pretty much a rad Friday. Oh yeah and I got in a little surfing. lol Hope your weekend was awesome!

Wish You Were Here...

Wave check from my villa’s balcony in Sayulita, Mexico this week. Some weeks life is tough. Just rolled in from Sayulita, Mexico last night. Had a bitchin’ time and I have tons of cool stuff to post & share – from outfit posts, to beach & jungle locations to skateparks and rad boutiques. I tried to cover it all, which is hard when you are downing margaritas and eating amazing food all day, but hey, I somehow “managed”!
